Ever since I hired Miriam as a junior conference producer, she has never ceased impressing me with her determination to succeed. I chaired the two days European Mineral Fertilizer Summit in December 2017 in Amsterdam that Miriam Roda Palacios had excellently organized. From an organizational perspective she ran the conference entirely by herself and on-site took care of every detail and all the issues of the attendees. Prior to event we communicated smoothly and effectively where I supported her in bringing together a wide variety of attendants and adding a new dimension to a fertilizer conference. The participation of policymakers and scientists from other disciplines than fertilizers technology brought novel insights to the conference that were highly appreciated by the attendees. Miriam has put together a balanced program with sufficient time for speakers to clearly present their views. Not surprisingly, the evaluation revealed the great appreciation that the attendees had for the conference, due to Miriam’s efforts.

Miriam organized the Amsterdam Mineral Fertilizer summit. It was the biggest and best so far, with a wide variety of attendants, from consultants to producers to buyers. All the details were looked after, including ensuring every person got a good deal for local hotels, and at the conference all the organizational issues ran smoothly.
